You Can Reverse Your Food Allergies!
Are there foods you just can’t eat? Is ordering in a restaurant an ordeal? Do bread and pizza leave you bloated and tired? Do dairy products give you gut pain or diarrhea?
Do your symptoms manifest as IBS, bowel issues, arthritis or breathing problems? Do your kids have these problems – or spectrum disorders?
I know how you feel.
There is Hope!
What if we told you that you could eat anything you want – with no symptoms? That you can reverse these problems?
It is absolutely possible. I know it is because I reversed mine.
My name is Ann Marie Michaels. When I was 25, I was very sick. I suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome, adrenal exhaustion, and chronic respiratory allergies and recurring sinus infections. I was exhausted all the time. Getting out of bed became a challenge, and I was always sick with something. I was on nasal inhalers for my allergies and sinus infections and daily pain meds.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The doctors said I would end up in a wheelchair. That was the last straw. I devoted myself to finding a solution. My research led me to learn about nutrition and the physiological effects of certain foods. By changing my diet, I was able to reverse all my symptoms. Instead of ending up in a wheelchair, I put all of those health problems behind me.
Later on, I started a blog called CHEESESLAVE. I started the blog because I had seen firsthand how what you eat can completely transform your life, and I wanted to share this information with others. When I polled my readers on what kind of cooking class they’d most like, the answer was overwhelming: they wanted to know more about cooking to solve food allergy problems.
How I Did It
I spent 4 weeks on an Elimination Diet, designed to uncover hidden food allergies. It was tough at first, but after a couple weeks, I felt like a million bucks. It wasn’t over though. I found out – the hard way that – if I cheated even a little bit, the symptoms came right back.
So I went on a gluten-free, sugar-free diet, and took strong, therapeutic-grade probiotics to help rebuild the good flora in my gut. That worked. It took 2 years to fully heal my gut – but the results were BEYOND worthwhile.
I got my life back!
Gluten-intolerant Doesn’t Have to Be a Life Sentence!
Two years may seem like a long time, but it’s nothing when you compare it to the rest of your life. Making such a radical change in my eating habits wasn’t easy. But it was worth it.
My personal transformation helped me see how powerful food is and how much it impacts our lives. Now I can eat anything I want – from buttery croissants to pizza to chocolate cake – with no symptoms!
Can’t You Just Avoid the Food You’re Allergic To?
This is another lesson I learned the hard way. You can just avoid the food you’re allergic to, but you can’t won’t reverse your food allergy that way. Here’s why: it turns out that food allergies and intolerances are caused by a condition called “Leaky Gut Syndrome”. IN LGS (which is rampant in our fast food society), the digestive tract that is so damaged that it allows undigested food to pass through into the blood stream — at which point the immune system reacts as if it’s being invaded. Thus the allergies.
If I had simply avoided gluten, I would not have healed my gut. I would have stayed gluten-intolerant, and over time, developed more allergies.
The other problem with just avoiding the food you are allergic to is that you may be allergic to other foods too – and just not know it. So while you avoid one set of foods, you continue to damage your gut with another. Many people who with gluten intolerance, for example, don’t have any symptoms.
Finally, all food allergies cause nutritional deficiencies, because When we can’t digest and absorb food properly, nutritional deficiencices follow. This leads to a host of problems from osteoporosis to cavities, to anxiety and depression.
We cover why avoiding foods is not enough in Lesson 1 of the class.
Why I’m Teaching This Class
I know so many people who are suffering from food allergies. Either they know they’ve got them, or worse, they have hidden food allergies they’re not even aware of. This was my situation.
If you have hidden food allergies, you may be taking various medications. When I was 25, I was on nasal inhalers for my allergies and sinus infections and taking pain medication daily for my arthritis. By covering up my symptoms with drugs, I went on eating gluten and sugar, which were damaging my gut even more.
I want to help those of you out there who need help getting started on a path to recovery. I was all alone in my journey. I want to lend a hand of support to you so you don’t have to do it on your own.
